Which Are the Best Family Vacation Destinations in Europe?

Summer's at the door and I am currently researching a family holiday destination where I could spend my holidays in Europe. I haven't been on holiday for 15 years and, for once, I'd like to travel abroad, preferably in a sunny area.

Spanish holiday resorts
For years, I used to go to Spain - generally in Catalonia - and enjoyed every moment spent there. I visited and loved holiday resorts such as Lloret de Mar, Playa de Aro, Salou... but when looking for family friendly vacation destination, places like Tossa de Mar, Rosas, Cambrils are better, of course.

Italian vacation destinationsTwenty years ago, I visited Italy: I was on the road to Sicily, and prefered to drive by car and, at the same time, discover those Italian cities, towns and villages I've never seen. I took the boat in Naples, arrived in Palermo and chose a hotel in Messina. We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Lipari (Aeolian Islands), loved the decor around the Etna volcano and crossed the Mediterranea to visit Calabria.

French family friendly holiday resorts
I've never spent holidays in France... Isn't this strange? I live France's next door and never been there except on the way to Italy and Spain when I traveld by car. Perhaps this year, I'll choose a family friendly holiday resort in France?

Greek holiday destinations for families
Another country I've never been to is Greece. And I still wonder why! I love islands, I love Mediterranean Sea, I love sun, I love warm weather, and I love Greek landscapes! Might be interesting to spend a few days in Kyos, Mykonos or in Crete...

To say the truth, I love Mediterranean areas and can't make a decision on the country to choose for my next holidays. Knowing that all these countries provide family vacation destinations, I just have to select just one... I'm not wealthy enough to go to all of them at once :(
