Christmas Posters As Decoration Alternative for Small Rooms

Why would I create a Web page; which would recommend to utilize Christmas posters as decorating alternative?

Well... on condition that you have lived in a room which is so small that even a tiny ready-decorated and lit Christmas tree would take too much place and prevent you from breathing or moving the way you wish, or whenever you would want to bring the Christmas mood to the entire home, including the toilet, then, what other alternative could you have than the one of utilizing pictures of Christmas scenes, carolers, Nativity scenes, etc.?

This is the reason why I set up this page on Holly-Day.com. In addition, I selected some really representative posters which will let you bring the warm, quiet and peaceful Christmas atmosphere to your entire home or student room.

So, if you are interested in learning more about the options you have to decorate a place with Christmas posters, then, I invite you to visit Christmas Posters As Decoration Alternative for Small Rooms at Holly-Day.com.

Pirate Cupcake Party Invitations

Pirate Party Invitations invitation
My fantastic online pal and co-author on Holly Day - Mrs Veronica Bow - gave me an idea not long ago: making my own party invitation cards and more particularly, making my own cupcake graphics.

I listened to this wise and smart person and created my first cupcake design: a pirate cupcake.

Later on, I made a fancy background and created two types of pirate party graphics: one with confetti and sea background while the other had no background at all.

Then I created some new products for my Zazzle store, all related to that famous pirate cupcake party graphic: i.e. a pirate cupcake t-shirt and a pirate cupcake badge in addition to the pirate cupcake party invitation cards.

I think those graphics will please the kids as, after all, they're the first who enjoy and love partying and wear pirate costumes.

Thank you very much, Veronica Bow, you're an invaluable online friend and I owe you to have started those cupcake graphics. More to come, of course :)

Pirate Party Recipe Ideas

Talk Like A Pirate Day is quickly coming and you surely are planning a fantastic Pirate party for your friends and/or family.

Not long ago, Veronica Bow shared her knowledge about Talk Like a Pirate Day on Holly Day and detailed what this funny international holiday is.

Then, I gave you my best ideas for planning a Pirate Birthday Party for Kids as well my my personal and favourite pirate cupcake and treats to serve at the kids party.

Now, it's time to share my favourite pirate recipes so that you can serve matching food to your guest on your pirate party.

I thus set up a pirate recipe page with ideas for you to prepare delicious foods to serve your guests on Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19.

First thing to know is that since pirates (and nobody else) has the same level of comfort than we have nowadays, it was really hard to store food and thus, while, in the first days or first two weeks on the sea, pirates were able to prepare tasty meals, the remaining time, they had to find solutions to prepare anything.

Sailing the sea, pirates had the opportunity to eat fish, but what about you: would you like to eat fish each and every day, three times a day (not sure they did eat three times a day as in the past, two times were enough).

In addition, meals of the times didn't have the same meaning than those we know today: what we call soup was in reality broth and what we call stew was soup, etc.

So, I invite you to check Recipe Ideas for your Pirate Party, where you'll find some really easy pirate recipes as well as two excellent recipes to prepare your pirate party beverage.

Enjoy :)

Saint David's Day, a Welsh Holiday

Not so long ago, I asked a friend of mine to contribute Holly Day an article - or more - because I value her writings and always enjoy reading the pages she creates online.

The Ragged Edge, she is the writer I talk about, accepted to contribute Holly Day, and sent me an article which relates to Saint David's Day, a national holiday in Wales, also known as Dewi Sant Day.

I'm fond of culture, history, traditions and customs and, therefore, I enjoyed reading this article; which I published on Holly Day right away. This articles explains who was Saint David, why he became a Saint, how the holiday is celebrated in Wales and even covers the type of food people eat that day.

Dewi Sant occurs on March 1st; which might look a bit far from us right now but in the event you don't live in Wales and know that you have Welsh ancestors, reading this article will give you some ideas to start your own Welsh traditions at home, celebrate the day with your family and share it with your friends.

I hope you'll enjoy reading Saint David's Day, a Welsh Holiday.
