Pirate Party Recipe Ideas

Talk Like A Pirate Day is quickly coming and you surely are planning a fantastic Pirate party for your friends and/or family.

Not long ago, Veronica Bow shared her knowledge about Talk Like a Pirate Day on Holly Day and detailed what this funny international holiday is.

Then, I gave you my best ideas for planning a Pirate Birthday Party for Kids as well my my personal and favourite pirate cupcake and treats to serve at the kids party.

Now, it's time to share my favourite pirate recipes so that you can serve matching food to your guest on your pirate party.

I thus set up a pirate recipe page with ideas for you to prepare delicious foods to serve your guests on Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19.

First thing to know is that since pirates (and nobody else) has the same level of comfort than we have nowadays, it was really hard to store food and thus, while, in the first days or first two weeks on the sea, pirates were able to prepare tasty meals, the remaining time, they had to find solutions to prepare anything.

Sailing the sea, pirates had the opportunity to eat fish, but what about you: would you like to eat fish each and every day, three times a day (not sure they did eat three times a day as in the past, two times were enough).

In addition, meals of the times didn't have the same meaning than those we know today: what we call soup was in reality broth and what we call stew was soup, etc.

So, I invite you to check Recipe Ideas for your Pirate Party, where you'll find some really easy pirate recipes as well as two excellent recipes to prepare your pirate party beverage.

Enjoy :)
